Weird 4gb Voyager Gt Problem !

Hello,

First of all i want to thank to your company for such good products like gt series... Simply quality and fast !

I have a weird problem with my new purchased 4gb voyager gt flash disk. My purpose is to use it as readyboost even 4gb system memory installed. 3 days ago i plugged in it and began to use it as readyboost but most of my downloads began to get corrupted...

At first i didnt think that corruptions are because of voyager and did a lot of test for my system ram as they can be faulty but no! Every part of my system is working flawlessly and updated to latest bioses or drivers... Also i stop overclocking and do the tests with default values... Everything seems to be in good condition but still there is download corruption...

I have a rapid share premium account and i download mostly from there because of that i thought may be there is a server problem but again no... I tried different sites to download and most of the files (rar, exe, zip etc.) got corrupted (crc errors).

To overcome problem i change rams with different ones, i tried a different hd but i couldnt find a solution... Even i tried every usb port on my board... i also checked that voyager is working in hispeed mode usb 2.0 from everest program...

Today i unplugged the voyager as i listened to my sense and voilaaaaaa ! None of the downloads got corrupted again which made me surprised... To be sure i plug it again as readyboost and download some files... Yess ! corruptions came back and i unplug it and again no corruptions... i understood that when voyager is plugged and used as readyboost it is causing download corruption...

But strangely i can use my voyager as a flash disk without problems... i can copy files into and from it, i can delete files inside it or i can install programs directly to my flash drive and run from there... i can format fat32 or ntfs but no problems here...

As a sum, only when doing readyboost this problem comes to real which make me annoyed because my purpose is to use it as readyboost not just a flash drive ...

So i politely ask for your help that how can i overcome this weird problem?

My Rig is

Asus Commando MB

Pentium d 945 @4.5 ghz 1.52 v

Titan Amanda Cooler

Hyperx 4gb @ 883 mhz 4-5-5-12 2.2v

Ati x1950 pro 512 mb @ 621 core 702 mem

320 Gb Seagate 16 mb HD

Thank you very much!

My Respect and Regards...

I would check the system at default settings and see if you get the same results, as you posted that you tried that and did not see any problems if I understood what you posted. In addition, you might try and format the drive with NTFS and then try the setting the ready Boost option again to test as well.

Hello,

Thanks for quick reply...

Sorry I meant that, even system is at default settings(no overclcoking) if i use voyager as readyboost, download data corruption occurs... Several times i format the voyager both ntfs and fat32 but no chance... If readyboost is set then there is download data corruption but if i just plug it as flash disk everything is ok....

My respect and regards...
