ken225
I've posted this in another thread that I'm linking to, but here's the gist. I got two new sticks of RAM. (Same type as my old.) When they are placed with my other sticks, it shows up as single mode and one of them is detected as only a 512 stick, instead of the full 1 gig. When I place the new ones in the system alone (without the old), they show up as only 1.5 gig (one shows up as 512) and they run in single channel mode. My old RAM runs in dual channel mode and shows up as 2 gig, correctly. Here's the other thread: http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?p=313090&posted=1#post313090

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2007 With the pair that shows up as 1.5GB, have you tried testing them individually, to see if there is a module that only shows up as 512MB, in both the BIOS and in Windows. ken225
Yes I have. One of them shows up as a normal 1 gig stick, but the other reads only 512 when it's by itself. (That's what lead me to believe it was somehow mislabelled.)
