ProStreet
I use Corsair memory config and this shows up: TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX I go to AUSUS's website and look at the QVL for dr2 800 and Corsair is not on there. Why? I ordered this ram based on a couple of reviews on the motherboard that used Corsair, but my concern is it is not on the QVL list. Anyone have a problems using this ram with this board. Thanks in advanced

DerekT
This just means that your very new board has not been tested (By ASUS) with this DRAM. It does not mean that the DRAM will not work with the board. Your board is just a state of the art model and it will take time for testing to meet it :) Corsair has tested it though and found it to be workable. ProStreet
Thank you Does this ram: TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX Ship in a clear package or is it in an anti-static bag also? First time getting ram that is not in an anti-static bag. Clear plactic had no seal. My concern is that this ram was used and sold as new.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 23, 2007 All of our modules come in a clear Bubble or Blister pack.
ProStreet
OK, but is there a seal? The one I received has no seal. You can just pop it open and close it. Having no seal means it could be used.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 23, 2007 NO they are not sealed. We do not seal then because many resellers want to put a serial number on them.

Wired
Pretty stuipd & last time I buy from corsair.I take it you disagree with Ram Guy's last post. Care to CLARIFY your statement? If you dislike their policy, state why. Just like any other business, they do listen to their customers.
ProStreet
If you say they listen then the problem I have has been stated. So, I guess you have not read the above post. No seal, no proof it is new. Any reseller could get a return and just resell it. Last thing I want to do is build a new PC and put a componet in that I am not 100% sure it is new. I called the place where I bought the ram and they said it does come with a seal. Then made a post here to be sure I was not going to get another one without a seal. So, if corsair does listen, put a seal on it. I have never received anything that was subject to static come without seal.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 24, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 24, 2007 We have talking about doing that, but most resellers ask that they can SN the modules. However, I will pass it on to our Product Managers.
