lonewolfxix Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Hi, this is for a system not listed in my pc parts to the left as i have just started upgrading to a new system so the system is..: DFI LANParty UT RDX200 CF-DR other boards tried: ASRock 939Dual-sata2 (tried 2), ABIT NF7-S V2 AMD Athlon64 Venice 3000+ other cpu's tried: AMD Opteron 146 (CABNE 0536), AMD Opteron 144, AMD AthlonXP-m 1600+ Corsair DDR400 (CMX512-3200C2PT - XMS3202v1.4 0513010-2 on the corsair sticker) Seagate s-ata150 250gb Antec NeoPower 480watt GeForce 7600GT Basically the RAM refuses to run in Dual Channel  I thought it may be the motherboard or cpu at first as i was originally running an opteron 146 with an asrock 939dual-sata2 So I bought a venice as a troubleshooter part and a DFI LANPartty UT RDX200 CF-DR as an upgrade part as i planned to get an x1950pro CF back then.. to no avail i tried all the combinations and in my old abit NF7-S V2 and in none would it run dual channel, the dfi beeped and shown the lights saying memory failure, the asrock just ran it in single channel as far as i can recall and same with the abit. I tried asking Scan to replace the memory and they told me to come here due to the fact they cannot offer a like-for-like replacement (well, I did buy it 04/04/2005..). I read through the information and i believe I can send it... but I have to send it to America? I'm in Britain... Is there a British address I can send it to? I haven't requested an RMA number yet

lonewolfxix Posted October 19, 2007 Author Posted October 19, 2007 I had an idea you may need those and i did put them in my last message but maybe it wasn't clear.. Model: CMX512-3200C2PT XMS Number: XMS3202v1.4 Lot Code: 0513010-2 I can't see any other information that will identify these sticks from others... I'm only running the 2 sticks which I bought from Scan UK on 04/04/2005 Scan have identified the RAM as faulty and cannot replace it due to lack of stock

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2007 Corsair Employee Posted October 19, 2007 For these modules you would need to manually set the memory voltage to 2.7X in the BIOS. I would recommend that you test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
