Khurm
hello. I have some problems with BSODs and reboots during game play mostly. i tryed to change Voltage of my RAM from 1,7v to 2,1-2,4v with no luck, system hangs all the time when i do that. Here is my Question, on my TWIN2X2048-6400C4D ( Dominator XMS2 DHX EPP )is written they are 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 on 2,4v, is it correct or it should be 2,1v? How to change CL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS ( and rest of settings if i must to ), to set this type of DDR2 to 4-4-4-12 ( they are on 5-5-5-18 2T 1,7-1,8v at Auto ) Sometimes my CPU ( E6600 Core2Duo ), during BSOD/Reboots, drops from 2,4Ghz to about 1Ghz ( Defoulting Bios helps but ist annoing ) PS.sry for bad english ;)

Khurm
i was able to set All to Auto and set SLI-redy memory to Expert. (but it works only if Extended Silicon SATAII is disabled) Results: in POST it was 400MHz 4-4-4-12 1T (it must be 2T?), and it's 2,2V(Auto);(seting to 2T manualy with rest Auto will set 800MHz but it still shows 1T and system hangs) in nVidia control panel 4-2-2-6 and tWR:2 ,tRRD:2, tRWT:5, tWTR:7, tRDRD:3, tWRWR:2, tCPC:0, rest was blank. and memory bus frequency:400MHz (should it be 800MHz?) i'm trying to not go to Bios and change anything cuz it can hang again, any advice? i try to test it a bit but, don't like this setting. PS. on fabric bios 040x ;)

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2007 With two modules only installed just load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage manually to 2.1 Volts and then set the C/R to 2T and set SLI ready memory to CPU 0% should be all you need to do. Khurm
ok, then here what happends: i can't set Default(Auto) and set the rest manualy - when i boot system just goes back to defaults. but i can set Standard/Manual clocking and then i can: 1.Set Voltage to 2.1V 2.Set C/R to 2T (but it's with no change- its 2T as default on 5-5-5-18) 3.when i try to set SLI-memory ready to CPU 0% it goeas to 4-4-4-12 1T(with 2T seted in Bios, but it's not working) system or hangs in Bios menu or Windows XP cant load, isapnp.sys lost od dmg, or BSOD , or just boots with no POST. don't know why, but in SLI-memory ready EXPERT it "works" little better. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2007 You should get the latest BIOS version and then load setup/optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set SLI Ready Memory to CPU 0% and set the CPC/CR to 2T, then test with http://www.memtest.org one module at a time! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them one up and or in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.

Khurm
eh, ok then, in Manual clocking I only set 2.1V. It boots and posts normaly but when WinXP loads it goes BSOD. i'll try to do it all with new Bios then. RAM test, and then i'll write what happends. PS. don't know how, but i set 4-4-4-12 2T 2.1V first 400Mhz, now 533Mhz. Manual clock with Unlinked with FSB(1066Mhz). I works good now, but i try to set more Mhz. I think it's Bios problem more then RAM cuz its bahaves, anyways i'll update bios and do tests.

Khurm
ok, now i'll update bios and do all steps from you. i other hand, i found something strange, all Manualy seted to 4-4-4-12 2T 2.1V 533.3 MHz is working with no BSOD or unexpected resets. When i try to set more then 533.3 MHz onboard LAN can't connect to my Internet provider. When i set 600MHz or more i have boot problems or BSOD. Well, I hope this is just Bios :):

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 19, 2007 What are you setting to 533 Mhz? The memory should be running at 400 MHz/ DDR800 from what you have in your profile?

Khurm
emm, wait, you say that my memo must be set to 400MHz? ( 2x400 = 800? ) if that so, i'll change it right away cuz now they work on 533.3MHz ( 2x533 = my 1066 FSB) in Bios i set Unlinked to FSB, if it's Linked it automaticly sets to 800MHz , too high i guess? they are Twin2X2048-6400 C4D , on box is 800MHz, both modules have sign on one side: XM2S 6400 1024MB 800MHz. And "Corsair Dominator XMS2" on the other side. i found on forum ( http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54052 ), to set manualy to 800MHz. Now i don't know anything :D
