scoobert
I have an HX620W that I got in march of this year. Yesterday I pushed the power button on my system and system powered up but shut down when reaching the windows screen . After troubleshooting the rest of the system I found the mobo is bad. Tried all other parts in a known good computer, everything checks out fine. I thought I would test the power supply with the paper clip idea. The PSU powered up and the fans spin. So I put the power supply in the known good computer and it powered up for about 15 seconds just about long enough to make it to the bios screen. Then it shutdown. Now that motherboard it toasted as well. It will no longer power up. Is there any other checks (with a volt meter or others) I can make before trying to sending it in for RMA? Without smoking another expensive board. Thanks Scoob
