GODSCOUNTRY
I have an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard which has TWINX1024-3200C2PT memory installed.Have had no real problems, except one shut down and start up repeating stutter, after about the 4 time it stayed on,but I did hear a voice behind me say GET OUT . I purchased two more sticks of memory, TWINX1024-3200C2PT from Newegg about a week ago. It will not post with the new sticks, together [all 4 Sticks]or with the new sticks replacing old sticks.I figured adding another 1GB to the existing 1GB wouldn't work, only because nobody seems to have problems with original ram, seems to be more common, when adding after the computer is built and running a few months. All latest bios, drivers etc.I did get to the Windoz XP window desk top once, with all 4 of the CMX512-3200C2PT DDR 400 installed ,but it shut down,it did show all the memory. The new sticks by themselves in existing ram slots, shuts right off and keeps beeping.I have tried bios defaults,it looks like the voltage is 2.6 in the Asus window,Seems to be many settings in Bios compared with the Latency numbers, which ones do I change in the list and what do you think, return or keep playing around.Thank you

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings to 2-3-2-6(CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Make sure when running memtest you have “Legacy USB Support” disabled in the BIOS. Also, with 4 modules in this system you will most likely be limited to DDR333. GODSCOUNTRY
I'm back,I made a CD boot-able of memtest86 v1.70 and tested each module by itself, multiple times in sames slot. The modules purchased from Tiger showed no errors at settings you suggested.Of the modules I just purchased from Newegg/ 1 of the CMX512-3200C2PT would not allow computer to boot, unable to run memtest86 test, tried in another computer,NG.The second one/CMX512-3200C2PT of the pair which I figured was good, because it posted, repeatably came up with errors in Test 5 and 7,always the same address, but varied by one to 3 in errors in test 7,test 5 was always dead on.I'm still hearing voices:eek:So now what,:(: Im burnt out trying to get one or both to work,:bigeyes:now I know what you guys go thru.Thank you /Tom
