bait
I just want to settle this once and for all. I'm running an asus A8N-SLI premium. I have two sticks that have the label CMX1024-3200C2 on them. They are running in dual channel. For what I can tell from the archived DDR1 timings (albiet, this exact stick isn't listed, but the CMX512-3200C2 is), they should run at 2-3-3-6. However, when I look at the memory configurator, the TWINX2048-3200C2 is supposed to run at 3-3-3-8, which is what my board is setting as the default. This is right on track, so I'm wondering... should these sticks actually work at C2? If not, why are they labeled c2? Is it a memory controller limitation? I'm just trying to make sure I've got everything straight.
Wired
Their SPD chip is set to 3-3-3-8. You are supposed to set them to 2-3-3-6 manually. They are guaranteed @ 2-3-3-6.

bait
Also make sure you adjust the memory voltage to 2.75 volts with these modules! I've run them all the way up to 2.9. It will not post with those timings. I may try them in my a7n8x for ****s and giggles

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 18, 2007 If they will not run at their advertised spec in 2 different systems then let's get them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!
