Sylvainp
I have the Corsair Dominator 8500 C5D and I would like to know how high I can put these memory in frequency. These are DDR1066 so can they ne use at a FSB 533 mhz ? They have a rated timing of 5-5-5-15 is this timing rated at DDR1066 or lower ? i have a Q6600 and I want to set the FSB at 333 to bring the Q6600 to 3.0Ghz. I need to set my memory to DDR667 to have a ratio of 1:1 ? Can I also reduce the timing on the memory better than 5-5-5-15 at that FSB ? Is it possible to run 8 x 400 =3200 on a Q6600 ? Can i still keep a ration of 1:1 with my memory ? And what would be latency timing for the memory ? Thanks

DerekT
This is a new board with issues. I would first flash to the latest BIOS. I have not worked with one of these boards yet. You will very likely have to increase voltages to your CPU and MCH to gain 400 X 8 = 3.2Ghz. You will have to set: CPU FSB = 400Mhz FSB Strap to Multiplier = 266Mhz CPU Multiplier = 8 DDR Frequency = 1066Mhz Memory Timing Clocks Cas Laency (tCL) = 5 Ras# to Cas# Delay = (tRCD): 5 Ras# Precharge (tRP) = 5 Ras# Active Time (tRAS) = 15 All secondary memory settings to AUTO CPU Voltage = ~1.35v CPU PLL Voltage = Auto
