hi,

i have been having trouble enabling sli-ocing in the bios of the 680i mobo to run my modules at 1142mhz they are 9136c5d's btw. anyways since i am resorting to 800mhz which is plenty i figured time to down the latencies now i have a perfectly stable system at,

3-3-3-8 1T @ 2.4v

now is it safe to run these modules at this voltage or am i risking blowing up. also if i wanted to run them at their epp settings what voltages shall i use for my cpu amongst other things.

thanks

Since you have moved past the warranted 2.1v, you are on your own at any rate. So am I. I have personally found that 2.4 has caused me problem with Micron D9GMH and that 2.35 so far has not shown problems. This is with three sets of personal D9GMH.

I would not go past 1.45 on the E6850 personally. However, it depends on your processor VID and characteristics on the overclock.

For a speed boost and a bit safer voltage range try this:

-Set voltage to 2.1v

-Put RAM in Sync Mode (will result in lower MHz but the syncronization makes up for it)

-Play with timings, see how low you can get. 3-3-3-9-1T for me.

If I'm not mistaken 2.4v is a bit high, try touching the RAM, it should feel hot to the touch but you should be able to keep your finger on it. (This is VERY approximate.) It's a good bet that if you hear sizzling and your skin sticks to the RAM it's to warm though.

-Me

(This raised my 3DMark06 score 200 points over a 9-- MHz Ram speed at 4-4-4-12-2T in 3:2.)
