Something wrong with the RAM

Recommended Posts

I just installed 2 pairs of Corsair TWIN2X 2048MB CM2X1024A-6400 Dimm's giving me 4 GB on a Asus P5K motherboard

Now I´m getting blue screens time to time with errors in the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

I used Windows Memory Diagnostic and everything was fine accept on Pass 2 Test Stride38. The program expected the value 00000000 but got 00ff0000

This error was on address: b7ft3b7c

What can be wrong? And according to Windows I just has 3,25 GB of RAM but the BIOS says 4 GB as it should be

Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.0 volts and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

Make sure when running memtest you have “Legacy USB Support” disabled in the BIOS.
