Serj
hello, I just wanted to double check if corsair sells cable extensions for the PSU, since the cabling is high quality i didnt want to go with the cheap stuff(unless if it doesn't make much difference) if there is a good one that will go perfectly with my power supply, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 15, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 15, 2007 Unfortunately we do not offer any extension cables. May I ask what kind of case and motherboard you have, that would require an extension?
suki
It's in his system specs. Those nine hundred cases put the 8-pin socket a long way away. If you want to conceal the lead it's quite a problem.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 16, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 16, 2007 If he has the power supply mounted upside down you are are probably right, and unless the case provides a little bit of airflow underneath the PSU or there is a vent, then you will probably want to keep it installed upside down. Serj
ohh thats a bumer but not a big deal. I do have the PSU mounted upside down, and the 4pin atx is connected so no problems there, I just have a 8800gts and a zalman 9700 cooler on the way, and the extra 3-4 inch or so would make the inside look nicer and the sleeved cable away from working parts. Would there be a problem if i added a 3rd party extension for that only? thanks

Teshadael
I have a problem with my 4pin ATX connector. I just got my VX550 and my new case yesterday. I went to install everything and found that there isn't enough slack between the main connector and the 4pin one to connect both to my motherboard. My motherboard is an ASRock ALiveXFire-eSATA2. I could cut the sleeving back a bit I suppose, but is there a better way to handle this issue?
Teshadael
Nevermind. I'm an idiot and didn't read the whole post. I'll get an extension.
