Tecguy2 Posted October 12, 2007 Share Posted October 12, 2007 Hello my name is Andrew and i am from Australia after a week of getting my ram (my pc was fine) 1 stick died i pulled this stick out, but the computer booted fine. If left it in, it would not get past the post. I then took the good stick of ram out and tried the bad one. I still could not get past the post so what do you think i should do :confused: ive tried the good stick of ram in every slot and its fine i did the same with the bad stick of ram would get past the post Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 12, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 12, 2007 I would recommend load the setup defaults in the BIOS, and then set the memory voltage to 2.0 volts and then test the modules individually with http://www.memtest.org. Tecguy2 Posted October 13, 2007 Author Share Posted October 13, 2007 Ram Guy, I have to wait till i get my watercooler for my quadcore i think i broke my stock fan my cpu is going up to 75 C which is y my pc is shutting off then ill test my ram with my ubuntu linux distro with memtest 86 ok:biggrin: UPDATE i can boot with both the ram when i change the bios settings but how ever if i turn my pc of at the power supply i loose my settings so its coms up as cmos checksum error defualts loaded so its my battery but its weird that i cant past the post with the single bad stick of ram Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
