crafty_loki
MSI Neo 965 with TWIN2X1024A-6400 So if I run memtest for a long time, I will get errors, always in the same location. I have ran it for a hour and got none (say about 2-3 passes). Tested both chips by them selves and it seems ok, but I only ran the tests for a few hours, on each one. Most of the test errors where in test 5, (had thousands) all other tests when they errors were much lower, some where single digits, I think test 4 was a few hundred. now this MB was just RMAed, the last MB died during a bios updated. Although there were crashing issues in XP. computer is from ibuypower.com Any ideas?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 10, 2007 I would try setting the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts and see if that helps.
crafty_loki
MB defaulted to 1.85 and I upped it to 1.9, just set it for 2.0. Will see how it goes. I know when i went up to 1.9 they got much fewer, for a while. Wasn't sure how far was safe to go. I'll just let it run for a while, see how it goes. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 10, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 10, 2007 Either way you need to check with the Video card maker and see if the one you have meet the power requirements and most 500 Watt PSU's if not all would not meet that spec for that Video Card. crafty_loki
Ok, so I got only 2 errors in 20 hours, on test 4 like 16 passes in for the first one. so maybe up the voltage again? *edit* Oh, and its in the exact same memory location as all the rest of them.
