Bisteccone
Hi! I've a problem with a new kit of ram 2xCM2X1024-8500C5D and the Asus P5K Vanilla. I've decided to change my old ram (Mushkin PC6400 5-5-5-12) to overclock better my cpu E6300. So i bought this set of ram. But when i change, the system doesn't boot. Here there is what i tried: 1) I tried dimm separately (both); 2) Clear cmos, i tried all available bios (newer and older); 3) I set 2,2v v-ram before to change; 4) I tried new and old ram together; 5) I tried them in all available slots. All I obtained is that the pc does not boot. Now new ram are on my desk. I can't try them on other mainboards. What can I do? Does any compatibility problem exist? Thanks in advance... Thakker
I have the budget Abit board IP35-E as well... CM2X1024-8500C5D wont boot as well.. must be a bios thing. Tried all bios versions. still no boot. Did all the tricks I found on the net (setting voltage to the factory listed, putting ram on 4th slot, reset bios, remove batts for hours.. etc.) and i still gets no boot. Boots with the non epp 667s though. Thats what I'm using now.
