Xenx
I've been having countless problems with my system since I purchased the parts. I've gotten countless blue screens, crashes, freezes. I've run XP and Vista. I've run the ram at stock speeds, down to 800. I've run it in dual channel and single channel. I've already sent it in for RMA once. I'm currently RMA'ing the MB, as it and the CPU are the only components that have yet to be replaced. I was going to run some more memory tests, but one of my DIMMs stopped posting the other day. I can post with one stick in any slot, but the other stick gives me code C1. This is at 2.2v 800mhz with the timings set to default. I'm waiting to get the new board to double check, but as only the one stick seems to be affected, I thought I would get some input.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 8, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 8, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.2 volts and then set the timings to 5-5-5-15 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If one module isn't even posting at these settings then we will want to replace the set for you. Xenx
When I got home, I put the second stick of ram back in. Without adjusting settings, it would let me post again. I tried memtest on both 800mhz and 1067mhz, with the timings you provided. Both times, I started receiving errors a couple of minutes into the test. This is still on the original board, not the replacement I am due to receive in a few days.
