irate
I can not get the ram to run in dual channel. I ve tried upping the voltage to 1.9 but it still posts in single channel. Bios Ver. 0902 Any Suggestions?
DerekT
I have never seen this issue be a DRAM issue, as long as the DRAM is a correct kit because Dual Channel Mode is a function of the mainboard memory controller, not the DRAM. As long as the DRAM follows the requirements of the Chipset Dual Channel, then it is fine. These are Dual Channel Kits, and unless there is an error between the SPD settings of the DRAM, then the issue is one of mainboard. Set your Vdimm (DRAM Voltage) to 2.1V and see if this helps. I don't think it will but it's a try anyway and Corsair warrants this DRAM to 2.1V for its lifetime. Download CPU-z: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-141.zip Look in the "SPD" tab and check to see that Slot#1 and Slot#1 are identical. Are they? If so, then it is a correct Dual Channel Kit. DerekT
The SPD settings are correct and identical. I would say that your issue is mainboard related. You may wish to contact ASUS for an RMA.
irate
you think i should try turning up the voltage first?
DerekT
You might have stability issues or memtest errors and voltage raises can help them, but not Dual Channel Mode. You can try, but don't raise the voltage higher than 2.1v.
