MrLuong
Hi, System Setup: A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo AMD mobile 2400+ processor TWINX1024-3200C2PRO ram I have a dual channel kit TWINX1024-3200C2PRO which has 2 sticks of CMX512-3200C2PRO XMS3202v4.1. I posted with an issue in February and got an RMA for my 2 sticks. Sticks have been working fine in my system since then and now I am getting BSOD again... *sigh*... I've tried single stick, different slot configurations, single channel 2x sticks as well. Memory rated at CL2 (2.5 for AMD) I loosened timings to 8-3-3-3. To make sure it was not an issue with other components in my system, I stole from a friends ram 2x512mb Kingston value rams to run on my system (non dual channel) and it has been running stable for over 2 weeks. Where as I plug in either CMX512s It BSODs in a day. Ran memtest on both sticks and it got errors, I did not gather the info on which test, I just ran the test and when I saw red I just went to the other stick. I ran with 8-3-3-3, 2.7v, cpu multi 9.5x (been running at 12x). Kind of sad... bought this expensive dual channel kit and having so much troubles with it. Asking to get replaced 2 times in one yr -.-. Any help would be greatly appreciated Ramguy :D
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 8, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 8, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings to 2-3-3-6 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. MrLuong
Ran memtest with latest bios with suggested settings, and I lowered the multiplier to 6.5x. One stick at a time, one ran for 9 hrs with no errors, the other ran for 9 hrs as well (back to back nights...) and failed on tests 3&4 of memtest. Can I get an RMA please? If I do, would I be shipping both pairs so that I get another dual channel kit? Thanks.
