mb2696
hello all, i'm trying to get my ram to run at 1066. i have the following: -GA-965P-DS3 rev 3.3, bios f11 -TWIN2X2048-8500C5, 5-5-5-15, 2.10V, ver2.1 -x6800 chip @ stock 2.93ghz -enermax 500w supply i'm assuming i should use these bios settings: -ddr voltage= +0.3 -mem multi= 4.0x -fsb=266 they've got a settings called "high speed ram" which can be set to "option1" or "option2" it says its for trying to get ram to boot over 1000mhz. i've tried both options, neither seems to work. it'll either post and freeze on the ram test, or not post at all. this is my second kit, the first wouldn't boot at 1066 either (that kit was replaced due to one stick being bad). i was hoping that maybe this new revision ram would do it, but it doesnt seem to. any suggestions? Yellowbeard
Your memory is actually rated at 2.2v so you would need to set to +0.4v. Also, disable the "HIGH SPEED RAM" deal and make sure you set the latencies manually to 5,5,5,15. Also, have you increased the voltage to the NB? If you want to OC to 1066 you are going to need to add some voltage there. Try 1 or 2 settings up from the stock voltage. Make sure you have good cooling on the NB also.
