2xCM2X1024 memory problems

Hi guys,

Recently purchased 2x CM2X1024 from http://www.Scan.co.uk.

Built my pc and recieved a BSOD pretty soon after building and testing out my new system. Wasnt sure which component it was so i left it. As time went by its gotten worse. I Thought it was a driver problem with Vista (first time vista install) so i reformatted, and tried another install, but no change. At times i cannot boot up my system due to constant reboots, or BSODS while logging into windows. Atm i've gotten hold of a old 512mb Kingston, and its running perfectly (not one crash/BSOD in the last 2hours). Im new here and have been reading around and these are the details of my setup:

Case: Silverstone SUGO

CPU: Intel E2140

M/Board: Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2

HDD: Caviar SE16 320GB

RAM: 2X CM2X1024

I've downloaded the memory diagnostic tool from http://www.Memtest.org. But due to having problems starting my computer with the other sticks of ram, i cannot use the tool.

Are there any incompatibilities with my setup listed above?

If so could somebody help please.

Thankyou,

Regards,

MH

EDIT: After reading more threads, my BIOS is at the latest firmware, the settings in my BIOS are also set at the stock defaults.

Thankyou once again.

i left my computed turned off while sleeping last night, and this morning i got around to using memtest 1.7.

tried the first stick of memory, and managed to get through the test twice with no errors - total time of about 35minutes.

2nd stick of memory recieved 4000+ errors within the first 10 minutes of testing.

I've also read in the forum today that i should up the voltage to +.2 and try to see if it is more stable. tried that and ran memtest again on both with the same results.

Thankyou

If you increased the voltage to these modules to 1.9 volts and still got the same results, then let's get them or it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or “Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it, please note that you are posting from the forum!

You should receive an update once the modules are received, however we can no longer check RMA status; please call our customer service at 888-222-4346 or 510-657-8747 Ext “0” or send them an email (rmaservice@corsairmemory.com) with your RMA# and ask them for the status!

sorry RAMGUY what do you mean by you can no longer check RMA status? i cannot call due to living in the UK and the time differences are to big. In my RMA approved email i check the link and it still shows that my order hasnt been recieved, which i understand due to it takes upto 5 working days.

How long is my RMA # valid until?
