mamox
Hi, first of all forgive me if my english is a little bad, I'm from Italy..... I wish to know if I install 4 Gb of Twin2X1024-6400C4 ( 2 couples of sticks) on the Gigabyte GA-N680SLI-DQ6 will they work at 800 Mhz???? I saw that these modules, when two couples are installed, on other motherboards (like asus m2n32sli with Nvidia 590 chipset) works only at 667 mhz and I don't know if on Nvidia 680I chipset is the same thing.... thanks in advance to who will answer me
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 1, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 1, 2007 With some MB's they can run 4 modules at 800 MHz and some cannot, you would just have to try and see. If you have problems I would suggest setting the NB/MCH Chipset voltage +.05 Volts and set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts as well and test the system with http://www.memtest.org to be sure its stable, but with 2 sets of Twin2x modules DDR667 would be suggested.
