WAI
Hello, I bought 2 packs of 2GB Ram from Corsair that was listed as compatible with the Dell Precision Workstation 670. But when I tried to install the RAM into the computer, It would not pass POST, giving me beeps indicating RAM Refresh error. Putting the old RAM in there worked fine. The only differences between the RAM is: * The original was ECC, the new ones are not * The original was DDR 3200, the new ones are DDR 4300 The Corsair page said that these things should not matter (and I know this machine can work without ECC) so can anyone shed some light on why this is happening? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 28, 2007 I am sorry but we do not show that system on our memory configurator, I would suggest asking the reseller if you can send them back and getting a module that is suggested by the system builder/maker.
