Intel BOXDP35DPM - Which Corsair RAM?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm after 2 gig of RAM (DDR2 PC-2 6400 (800)) to use with the Intel BOXDP35DPM Motherboard, but the Corsair site does not yet have this in the "Memory Configurator" list, so I'm unsure which RAM to purchase.

I was going to buy an Asus P5k Premium/WiFi-AP Motherboard and the recommended RAM is in the "Memory Configurator", which is:

TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX

Memory Type » DDR2-800 C4

Size » 2GB Kit (2 x 1GB)

Latency » 4-4-4-12-2T

Format » 240-pin DIMM

Heat Spreader » Dominator

I assume the same would be suffice for the Intel motherboard, but if it's not does someone know which is best fitted?

Kind regards,

Peter

I would suggest Twin2x2048-6400C5DHX with this MB as I am not sure it will let you manually set the memory Voltage to run our faster modules, but if it will let you set the memory Voltage manually to 2.1 Volts TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX will run great.

Hi,

Thanks for this information, but I have a problem...

When checking the appropriate RAM using Corsair's Memory Configurator for a DP35DP (it didn't have it listed when I first added this post), it selects the following RAM:

Enthusiast TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX

But this conflicts with the information on Intel's website, regarding compatible RAM. The RAM you indicate is 2.1v and CAS 4-4-4-12 but Intel insist it needs to be 1.8v ONLY and CAS 5-5-5

Can you confirm which is the correct RAM to use, Twin2x2048-6400C5DHX or TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX

Kind regards,

Peter
