foureight84
I have been reading around and it seems that some people have been having problems with these two combinations. However, these problems came about a few months ago when the motherboard first hit the market. That was 6 bios updates ago. I am currently running this combination with the bios up to date. However I find that when I have both sticks plugged the system would either shuts down a few seconds after post or goes straight into bios recovery mode. I tried running one stick at a time and found that only one works. The second stick would cause the system to not post at all. I'm not sure if it's a motherboard problem or one of the stick works. My experience tells me that one of the stick had gone bad. I really need verification so I can go and exchange it at the store. Here's my current setup: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 (REV. 2.0; bios ver. F7) CORSAIR TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2GB KIT SEAGATE 320GB ST3320620AS SATA2 7200RPM Antec Truepower II (550 watt)
DerekT
Download memtest from http://www.memtest.org. Insert the sticks singly. Set the RAM to 4-4-4-12 at 2.1V in the BIOS. Boot to memtest. Do this for both sticks. Results? If one as you says, does not allow the boot, then contact RamGuy for this.
foureight84
i ran memtest last night with one of the stick. but as like said earlier, one won't boot. so i can't memtest at all. i'll just go exchange it at the store. i just wanted to figure out if i could get both running.
