GA-P35-DQ6 Compatible Dual Channel Memory

I bought a GA-p35-DQ6 board and I'm doing some research before buying the ram. I will go with Corsair of course. The questions are the following.

I want to run 4GB of ram as two pairs (4 x 1GB) running in dual channel mode or 4GB as one pair (2 x 2GB) running in dual channel mode. I rather go with ddr2-1066 if possible. What has me worried is that I have seen people saying that four sticks could be troublesome. What are my options?

IF you can find them Twin2x4096-8500C5D (2 X 2.0 Gig) would be the best choice, but they are hard to get. Second choice would be a Quadx4096-8500C5DF (4 X 1.0 Gig) and yes I have seen some user having problems with 4 modules. Or the third choice would be Twin2x4096-6400C5DHX (2 X 2.0 Gig) though a bit slower would offer better performance that using 4 single modules.
