prezidentj33
I got this new memory Corsair Dominator Series PC2 8500C5 set and ever since I installed it my pc now freezes for a few seconds at a time randomly as i'm working. Kinda like lag. The memory i had in before this was Corsair XMS DDR2 800 and that worked completely fine. Keep in mind i have not tuned the bios at all so it's all auto set. I tried setting the voltage in my bios for memory at 1.9 and even at 1.95 but doesn't seem to make a difference. mem clock is at 1066 and latency settings are at 5-5-5-15-2t. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? i'm running XP Pro 32 bit. Thanks for all the help guys.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 19, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 19, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest Bios version and then load setup/optimized defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.2 volts and then set SLI Ready Memory to CPU 0% and set the CPC/CR to 2T, then test with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them one up and or in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
