8Gig Voyager GT Problems

My 8gig Voyager GT has 2 problems;

 

1- The USB 2 not always recognized; tell me that the drive would be faster

in a USB 2.0 (I have a New laptop).

2- Not always recognizing the drive and when it does, it works for a minute

or 2.

 

I think it’s dying or am I missing something?
