IronCamel
I have an Abit NV-M2 Nview motherboard and have a set of TWIN2X1024A-6400 installed. This has led to some problems since I have to give up some to the VGA memory share. Thus I have less than 1gb available (MB issue, not memory) and find myself needing more. I found a VERY good deal on two sticks of CM2X512A-6400 modules. These are the same chips, but they aren't TwinXMS. What kind of issue, if any, can this cause memory wise. P.S. I've already confirmed that I can run 4 sticks at full speed with this board. Also, I always just use them at stock speed. No overclocking for me. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 18, 2007 I would suggest just replacing the modules you have now with one set of Twin2s2048-6400C5DHX for best performance. But as log as all of the modules are the same part# there should not be any problems, just set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts.
IronCamel
Thanks for the advice. I'm going to try it this way for now and upgrade in a couple months when I buy a new processor.
