VX Series OEM?

We contract out to different manufacturers to make our PSUs, these manufacturers can change at any time. Our PSUs are not simply "re-badged Seasonic PSUs" they are built to our own specifications, so the actual manufacturer is irrelevant.

Yes, I realize that they're not just re-badged Seasonics or whoever. But who manufactures them is important. If a PSU is built by a OEM that has a great reputation, such as the HX series, it makes recommending that PSU to a potential buyer easier. I'd rather not go by an assumption based on what I've read on some other sites. Which brings us back to my original question.

I believe Ram Guy has already answered your question. There is no "one" manufacturer. They all make the PSUs to meet Corsair's specs. Any problems or praises with the PSU should be directed towards Corsair. IMHO, I don't think they'd go w/ a crappy PSU maker.

Seasonic mfg's the HX520/620 as well as the VX450. However the new VX550 is mfg'ed by Channel Well Tech (CWT). I just hope that Corsair doesn't allow CWT to use any Fuhjyyu caps. ;): It will be interesting to see how the VX550 compares to the Seasonic built psu's once the credible reviews start surfacing. :D:
