intoner
latest Memetest86, memtest86+ and ram probe all find errors after about 2hours. TWIN2X2048-6400C4 with a p6n diamond. memory errors occur on test #6 between 4500Mb-5000Mb & I only have 4 gigs installed.(?) Timings are set to 4-4-4-12-2t at 1.9V manually.(via corsair recommendations) I tried setting the upper limit in memtest86 to reflect only 4096M no errors so far. Do I have bad RAM? or is memtest86 just trying to test non existent memory? I'm a noob. Please help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 13, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 13, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard and then load optimized defaults and set the Memory Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings to 4-4-4-12 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) and then test the modules one at a time with the default memtest testing configuration! Please allow memtest to run 2-3 passes on each module. If you still get errors, we will be happy to replace them! However, if you get errors with multiple modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
