Old Git
Hi all I have just bought a new rig and had some problems which I have managed to sort out after browsing your forums. I increased the voltage on the memory window in AI Booster to 1.95(it was at 1.85), and the freeze up problems seemed to have gone. Bearing in mind that I know very little about setting changes, I would like some advice please... What are the recommended settings for the memory etc,and how do I change them. The spec of my computer is as follows: Intel QX6850 Extreme CPU with Zalman CPS9500 Cooler ASUS Striker Extreme n680i mobo 4Gb Corsair Dominator PC8500 with Fan Kit 2 x GeForce 8800GTX Coolermaster Stacker 832 Case I don't want to OVERCLOCK as such just get long term stability, as far as i am concerned the speed is already there. I look forward to some suggestions from the geniuses out there. Thanks in advance.:):
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 13, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 13, 2007 The memory Voltage should be set to 2.2 Volts for these modules and just load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.2 Volts and leave the timings at Default with 4 modules. 800 MHz Cas 5-5-5-18. Old Git
HI everything running fine now. One small question....my Vista windows index is 5.8, the memory being the lowest sub-score. All other tests give 5.9. It's not critical but slightly annoying that the memory is letting the side down, so to speak. Have you any possible solutions please. Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 28, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 28, 2007 That is not a bench mark score, I would suggest running everest or Sy-Soft to benchmark the memory.
