dmann304
I found these and really want to know what they do or what they can do? FSB Optimize: Memory Optimize: I set my timings manually 2.1v and 3.4.3.9 This is done with a P5N32 Deluxe with a Pentium D 940. I was wondering what these do if i enable them and would they make things faster for this rig?
sbks
I think it means that the motherboard will find the quickest settings that it thinks will run stable and use those. It probably won't run any faster than your manual settings, though. I tend to avoid using such options in my BIOS.
dmann304
Yea i know, i tried it and ran some tests and got a BSOD afte coming back from dinner and a movie. Set it back to disable and all good here. Maybe my 3.4.3.9 timings weren't friendly to those settings.
sbks
That's possible. 3-4-3-9 is pretty tight. What are you clocking your RAM at?
dmann304
667. The board supports up to 800 but garitees only 667 stable. P5N32 with the Pentium D. SO i have the ram at 667 with tight timings.
