morganthemoose
I have just recently purchased a 2X1gb ddr400 chip kit to put on my computer but for some reason they just will not work. My motherboard manual says it should be able to operate 2gb 400mhz but everytime i try to put them in it either starts beeping at me or if i put one of my new cards and one of my old ones it just ignores the new one. the highest i can get it at is 1gb with my old ram cards (2x512mb corsairs as well) do you have any ideas what might be going wrong? incidentaly my motherboard is a soltek SL-KT600-C1L with a 2800 amd processor. Thanks in advance morgan
Yellowbeard
The memory configurator shows that MOBO as compatible with this RAM: http://www.corsairmemory.com/configurator/product_results.aspx?id=4684 Is this the EXACT memory you have and, do you have the latest bios for your MOBO? And, have you tried clearing the CMOS, and then trying ONLY the Corsair modules one at a time?
morganthemoose
thanks for the reply! that is the exact memory i have. Do you know where i couldfind BIOS driver updates as i have been unable to find any. And how do you clear the cmos? i have tried them one at a time and they both work on their own, even tried one new and on old in hope of reaching 1.5g but as soon as i do this my computer beeps at me angrily on startup and refiuses to boot. thanks morgan
