GIGABYTE GA-965P-S3 and XMS2

I have the GIGABYTE GA-965P-S3 and TWIN2X1024-6400C4 ram. I am having stability problems and errors in memtest. Are the two even compatible?

 

my settings are:

 

CAS: 4

RAS to CAS delay: 4

RAS precharge: 4

tRAS: 12

tRRD: auto

rank write to read delay: auto

write to precharge delay: auto

refresh to act delay: 0

read to precharge: auto

DDR overvoltage: +0.3v

What is your ram speed? Please list your other BIOS settings for the CPU as well.

 

What are your stability problems and what memtest test is showing errors?

ok sorry for the late reply, was busy with school. its the weekend now so i have some time to mess with my computer.

 

as for speed im running it at the default speed of 800mhz

 

the errors i'm getting are:

Count 64 <- it will keep going up if i let it run

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
