Testing parameters for TWINX3500LLPro: TWINX2048-3500LLPro Data Sheet Motherboard make and model: Asus A8N-SLI Premium Each pair is tested and packaged together using the following settings: CPU External Frequency: Manually set to 217MHz DRAM Clock: Manually set to 1:1 or 400MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.0T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T SDRAM Bank Interleave: 4 Bank SDRAM VDIMM: 2.75 Command Rate 1T All other settings are motherboard defaults. Maximum recommended VDIMM: 2.
DerekT
CPU External Frequency: Manually set to 217MHz DRAM Clock: Manually set to 1:1 or 400MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T SDRAM Bank Interleave: 8 Bank SDRAM VDIMM: 2.75 Command Rate 2T Test for stability. If stable, test for: SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T seen as 2.5-4-4-8 If stable, test for 2.5-4-4-7. Then 2.5-3-3-7. With all four banks being populated, you need to set your Command Rate to 2T.
shazbot
Thanks for the info, when I set the ram to your settings all seems ok with memtest, but when the computer is running it reboots its self after a couple of minutes, Any ideas ? DerekT
Try setting to 3-4-4-8 with a 4 Bank interleave. If you are fine with memtest but are having reboots, then I wonder if you have other issues. Have you tried with a clean system install?
Yellowbeard
Most socket 939 MOBOs do not like to run 3 DIMMs at all. They are stable with 1,2, or 4 DIMMs but not 3. You may get it to run with a lot of tweaking but, most likely you will need to add or remove 1 module.

Are you running 3 X 1GB or 2 X 2GB plus 2 X 512MB? I didn't even think that you might be populating three slots. That would be a tough one indeed.
