nsa-x-file
Hi Ram Guy, I've just bought the new Asus Blitz Formula Special Edition Mobo. I've checked the Memory Configurator and it recommends the following: Enthusiast TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX Overclocker TWIN2X2048-8500C5D Extreme TWIN2X2048-9136C5D Does this mobo support using ALL the ram slots with 4GB using any of the ram above? Also does this mobo support: TWIN2X2048-6400C3DF (CAS 3-4-3-9) I just want to make sure that 4GB will work before I buy the RAM. :[pouts: Any help would be great! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 28, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 28, 2007 No only one set at the tested settings. I would suggest Twin2x4096-6400C5DHX if you want 4 Gig or one of the QuadX sets.

Thanks for the reply. So if I understand this correctly I cannot use 4GB of either of the ram below: 2x TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX or 2x TWIN2X2048-8500C5D ? If so is there a 4GB PC8500 set that would work? Just so its clear before I order that's all. Regards, Jamie

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 31, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 31, 2007 Yes but you might have to relax the setting with 4 modules.
Deathnight0069
So why wont 4 sticks of TWIN2X2048-8500C5D work in this mobo? if 2 will work why wont 4? Has it just not been tested, or there is some compatablity problem?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted September 7, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted September 7, 2007 We only do testing with 4 module if we package as 4x. I had mention"may need to relax timings" since some system may not be capable of running aggressive settings with 4 modules vs 2 modules. The reason is due to the number of banks the memory controller needs to address.
