kudu
I want to get an IP35 Pro with 4 GB of RAM to use initially with Windows XP Pro 32 bit (yes I understand that I will only be able to use about 3 GB in Windows due to the limitations of a 32 bit OS). I want to do a lot of Photoshop work and don't want to have to change my memory when I eventually upgrade to 64 bit Vista. I can get this memory for a good price, but I am concerned that a) there isn't a very good hardware compatibility list for the IP 35 Pro b) it looks like there are a lot of negative implications to using 4 GB on a prosumer class motherboard (e.g. if you want to load up on memory, better going for a workstation class MB with slow and expensive FB DIMMS). I can also get some other Corsair kits like these: 4x1 matched quad - QUAD2X4096-6400C5DHX
Yellowbeard
I have this board and I can test it later today or this weekend with 4 x PC8500 for you. In general, the P35 boards handle 4 DIMMs pretty well so any of the 2 kits you mentioned should work well. You could also do a DHX 2 X 2gb kit, the Twin2X 4096 PC6400 version.
