Neme
Anyone know if the HX620 will supply enough juice for the following kit: Q6600 Asus Striker Extreme 2GB Dominator 8500 4x Seagate 7200.10 500GB 1x WD Waptor 150GB Adaptec 3805 Raid Card 2x EVGA 8800GTX ACS3 KO 768MB Plextor PX-810SA XFi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion 3x 120mm case fans Also, how would I go about hooking the SLI 8800's up, they both require 2 6pin PCIe power cables, but as far as i can see the HX620 only supports 2. Thanks for any info :)
EliteKiller
While some folks like jonnyGURU will disagree, your rig will have no trouble being powered by an HX620. Your rig will pull a max of 500W from the psu under a full load which would include rthdribl+orthos+ripping dvd+copying files from one HDD to another. That would equate to an 80% load, but how often would you be under that type of load? ;): If you wanted more headroom I would suggest a Silverstone ST85ZF for $170 The HX620 is on sale @ clubit.com for $90 AR Corsair recently upgraded the two included PCIe cables so that each one has a 6-pin plus 6+2-pin PCIe connector on them for a total of four PCIe connectors. If you did not receive the new cables with your PSU, please submit a request to warranty@corsairmemory.com with your name, address, and phone number. You can also call Customer Service at 888-222-4346 from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time Monday thru Friday excluding holidays.
