Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 21, 2007 Can you tell me what happens when you try to turn on the computer? Does the motherboard standby light come on? Does the PSU fan start moving when you turn on the system?

WiShI
:( Do I have to buy a new MB that supports the HX520W?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 22, 2007 The HX520W supports the latest ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 standards and is backwards compatible with ATX12V 2.01 systems. You may want to double check to see if your board supports this. Are you hitting the power button on the front of the system and have you tried using the "PWR" jumper on the actual motherboard? WiShI
Ok, and then where is the "PWR Jumper" ? I guess it doesn't. Sry fo beein a pain in the ***
EliteKiller
It's the 2 pins that the power switch on your case connects to. Since you have a no power issue, and the HX520 works on another pc, strip everything from your mainboard except the cpu and 2 ATX power cables to see if you can get it to power on. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 22, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 22, 2007 Is this a new build, or are you just upgrading the PSU?

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 23, 2007 Can you tell me which cables you have installed on the board? You should have a 4-pin, a 24-pin, and a Molex connection on this board.
WiShI
i installed the 4 - pin and tried 20 and 24 pin. Didnt work. Molex?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 27, 2007 Looks like I might have been looking at the wrong board, your board only has a 4-pin and a 24-pin connector. Its possible that the PSU is not compatible with your motherboard, in any case if you know that it is compatible and it is not working with your system, let's get it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or *New* Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
