Hello just wondering if anyone can help, Ive just purchased some twinx2048-3200c2pt

Im getting timings of 3-4-4-8:(: As far as i no i should be able to hit 2-2-2-6 ?

I also have a set of corsiar 512-3200c2pt

I was able to hit much better timings when using just 2x512 instead of 2x1024

Motherboard is an asus p5gd1 pro.

Also if i added the extra 2x512 stick into the sytem would i see any benefits from having 3gig of ram using xp pro.

1. you posted on a weekend, Corsair's closed on the weekends, hence no Corsair response as of yet.

2. Timings:

CAS Latency (tCL): 2

RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3

Row Precharge (tRP): 3

Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6

Memory Voltage: 2.7-2.8 Volts (Warrantied up to, but not over, 2.90 volts)

All other settings to defaults.

Source: Corsair XMS Qualification and Testing Information

As for 3 GB, the benefits of 2 GB in a 2 stick configuration outweigh the benefits 3 GB in a 4 stick configuration in most applications.

Thxs for the reply,

I understand the times should be set to

CAS Latency (tCL): 2

RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3

Row Precharge (tRP): 3

Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6

But im unable to do this ive set memory to drr 400mhz but thats the only options i see in the bios.

When trying to put the timings in manually through RightMark memory the Cas latency refuses to go lower than 3:mad:

Whats going on.

Ok found how and were to set manual timmings, at 2-3-3-6 i get blue screens after about 5-10 minutes of game play..

Voltage now set to 2.8 after 2.7 gave blue screens aswell.

No over clocking at all, spread spectrum set to auto hyper path II enabled

HT enabled ai booster disabled throttling disbaled.

psu is a 550 watt antec trupower 2.0

im running an intel 640

ati 850 xt pe

1 dvd bay

2 ide HD's

Not sure why im blue screening dont think its due to not enough power ive looked at voltage graphs from the psu and everything looks fine.

Blue screening as only happened since i changed the timings manually.

some images that may help with some extra info on the ram.

Blue screen or CTD only happens when gaming, sat on desktop and browsing havent had any problems since ive stuck voltage to 2.8
