VikingRage
I'm trying to tweak the AMI Bios on a ECS P4M900T-M motherboard to get my TWIN2x2048-5400C4 XMS memory to run at 4-4-4-12. Unfortunately the BIOS is not straightforward in its RAM timing options. There is a BIOS "Turbo" and "Ultra" timing mode for RAM timing, but neither of these work. (No POST, no beep.) There is a "Manual" RAM timing mode, but this just offers "DDR/DDR2" settings of "1.5/2","2.0/3","2.5/4", or "3.0/5". I tried setting this to "2.5/4" but it didn't work either... I also tried increasing memory voltage +.05, +.1, +0.1, but still no luck. It either won't POST or some combinations may boot, but according to CPU-Z the RAM is running at some crazy timing, definitely not 4-4-4-12. Unfortunately my hardware doesn't seem too overclocker friendly. Any chance of getting this motherboard/BIOS to run 4-4-4-12? Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 14, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 14, 2007 I am sorry but we have not tested an ECS MB in several years and I would suggest contacting them to help you with their BIOS settings and or check http://www.google.com and searching for forums that might have support for that MB. Like http://www.hardOcp.com or http://www.abxzone.com.
