GettoPhilosophr
Hey, I had one set of TWIN2X2048-6400 (2 X 1 GB sticks), and everything ran fine automatically. I just bought another set of the same RAM, updated Vista to use it correctly, and now my system crashes. I've had BSODs (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT), as well as just plain hangs; screen freezes, power to my mouse and keyboard goes out, I have to reset the computer. Vista memory test says "you have hardware problems, contact manufacturer". I tried to manually set my BIOS to the suggested timings (5-5-5-15-2T, 1.9V) as well as the other timing I had seen (5-5-5-12-2T, 1.9V); system will not post, have to clear CMOS. Do I have a bad stick? Is it overheating? Do I not have enough power or something? Abit AB9 Pro TWIN2X2048-6400 (x2, 4GB) Core 2 Duo E6600 (2.4GHz, no overclocking) BFGTech 8800 GTS OC (320MB) AeroCool ExtremeEngine 3T (major airflow, don't think this is a problem) Thermaltake 430W Help? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 9, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 9, 2007 You really need a bigger PSU and with 4 modules you should be running the modules at DDR667 at 2.1 Volts!
