Corsair RAM crashes PC

Recommended Posts

Corsair Twin CMS512 - xms3200C2PT Platinum 400mhz

Suddenly the sticks stopped working and I was faced with lots and lots of BSOD's (blue screen of death)

I tested by only using one module at a time and still same problem.

I moved both sticks into 3 other systems I have and still same issue.

The sticks dont keep the PC online long enough to run memtest etc.

I have been using the sticks perfectly well for about 2 years. Untill a month or so ago.

I am not sure what I should do to get these replaced.

Please help.

Please load setup/optimized defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. And you will need to disable Legacy USB in the BIOS with most ASUS MB's when running any memory test.
