EvolovE
Hello I was looking at Asus P5n32-E SLI 680i and Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 now these both should run at 1333 bus speed now I was looking to memory and compatibility with these and future potential. Someday I'd like to find the quad core with this bus that isn't in the $1,200 price range. So I'm thinking future planning, and if I should wait for the 1333 (10600) memory with lower latency and go with 800 bus memory for now. Any advice in this area would be great if you know of any recommended products I may want to wait on please let me know. Thanks! EvolovE
EvolovE
You can see under my profile my current system and I was looking to upgrade the CPU, Mobo, and memory. Now I've had problems with Vista and 4 Gigs of memory with XFI card. So I'll probably get stuck getting XFI-2 so the sound works. But in the mean time, I want to build a system that will stand the test of time like my last set up lasted as a decent gaming rig for 2 years I'd like to just update these pieces and swap out parts as time goes on. So if a new FSB standard is going to be 1333 then I'd rather start there and move up. But I'm just not sure on what works well with what and anything new on the horizon I should perhaps wait for. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 7, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 7, 2007 I would suggest Twin2x4096-8500C5D with that system, they will run the best with a 1066 or 1333 FSB CPU.
