stormy
Hi, I have just installed a HX520W (replacing an aging Enermax 460W PSU which didnt even have PCIe connectors, I have to use an adapter). Trouble is this NEW PSU seems to have more trouble running my graphics card than the old!!! :( If I try 3DMark it either crashes to desktop or just locks up with either a blank screen or a pink coloured screen with lines down it. The card was solid as a rock with the old PSU and thats the only thing I have changed? Any ideas? System: Asus P5K Deluxe/Wifi-AP 2Gb Crucial Ballistix 1067Mhz DDR2 Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (stock) HIS IceQ3 Radeon X1900XT PCIe SoundBlaster Audigy 2ZS Windows Vista Ultimate 32Bit Edit: I have just re-set the CCC to defaults and 3DMark06 seems ok again, no idea whats going on and why I would need to do that for a new PSU? I'll keep an eye on it and post more later if I have troubles. I dont actually game much on my system anymore really. I bought the PSU to get a bit of peace and quiet. :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 3, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 3, 2007 You should load setup defaults in your BIOS any time you change a major component especially the PSU as the Voltages are controlled from the MB BIOS.
