BriaB
Hi, I accidently reformatted my Flash Voyager Drive to Mac OS Exteneded format and it will no longer work with my car stereo. Does anyone know if it is possible to reformat the drive back to the original format? Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 3, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 3, 2007 Yes in a Windows 2K or newer system from a command prompt try this syntax: Format (X:) /FS:FAT32 /U (X=the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager)
BriaB
Thanks. Do you know if the same commands will in work in the terminal in Mac OS X (10.4)? And also how do I find out what the drive letter assigned to the Flash Voyager would be?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 6, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 6, 2007 I am sorry but no it will not work on a MAC you need to use a Windows System for this syntax. However I think you just use Disk manager in a MAC.
horstmannb
Ram Guy, I tried the format syntac that you provided earlier in this thread and I get "Invalid media or Track 0 bad - disk unusable." Does this mean that my Voyager is toast? Thanks, Brian

BriaB
Hi, I tried the three reformating options in OS X (Mac OS extended, MS-DOS File System, and Unix File System). None of them will work. Should I follow the links to return the part as well, or is there anything else I can do? Thanks, Bria

If that fails, try this: http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62742
