Voyager 4gb Causes XP To Hang

Hello,

So I bought the Corsair Voyager 4gb, and a D-Link DUB-C2 USB PCMCIA Card for my laptop. The flash drive works in every computer I've tried it on, except through that usb card. Here's the link to the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815104803&Tpk=15-104-803

When inserted the first time, it went through the regular "found new hardware" routine and installed it successfully. But then once I try to read/write anything, after a bit the whole computer will hang. Meaning, my mouse won't move, and if there's any music going it just plays the same split second over and over. But the weird thing is that if I pop the usb card out of the slot, it goes back to normal (except of course any process tied to the flash drive). It doesn't help to take the drive out, only the whole usb card.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or if there's a known compatibility issue with this usb card? I uninstalled the flash drive's driver and let it reinstall on insertion, but it still hung.
