One of my modules generates BSOD

v1.1

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of Twin2x2048-6400C4Pro which were working fine on default settings from bios. Recently when both modules are in the slots, it doesn't load my o/s but always displays bsod. If i have the 1st module in, it would try to load into o/s then just restart, and this process would loop over and over again without actually loading o/s. It doesn't matter which slot i choose to place them in. I remove it then place the 2nd module in and it boots into my o/s fine and works just like normal. This bad module also repeats the rebooting process on my other pc i have. Can i request RMA please.

Thanks.

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and load setup defaults and then set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org to be sure one is not failing. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with some MB's (Mostly ASUS) you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.

I haven't had any problems running this default setup for almost 8months.

I get bsod with both modules in any memory slot, but when i run them one at a time only one of the memory modules works without a hitch, the other sends me in a rebooting loop. The same happens when i have them installed another system. I would like to pursue rma please.

Thanks
