Im having this problem, not sure whats going on

Recommended Posts

will i notice a performance drop going from 800 to 667? I do a LOT of audio recording/editing in high end software and I also play newer games. Will this, based on my system specs, affect my performance a lot, or would I be better off with 2 Gigs at 800Mhz?

It would really depend on the O.S. and the software you are using, but in general 4 Gig or 4 modules will run a bit slower than two modules. But with 4 Gig of memory more things can run from memory rather than the swap file.

OK, thats it, corsair is getting this memory back until Microsoft fixes this crap, I cant deal with it.

I have tried every setting known to mankind, and I am sure its the OS, but guess what, you cannot return software, so the good company will suffer.

Word to the wise: DO NOT BUY 4 STICKS OF RAM FOR USE WITH VISTA 64 ULTIMATE, YOU WILL BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED AND SUFFER FROM DIARRHEA.

I ran memtest86+ through 4 times and it passed each time, with all 4 sticks in. therefore it must be vista being @#$@
