HI

I have a ASUS P5NT WS I brought some corsair ram (twin2x2048-8500c5d )

On the memory configurator they are compactable, but I can get no life at all.

The thing is I was invoiced twin2x2048-8500c5d, the packaging says twin2x2048-8500c5d on the back under the bar code BUT on the ram its self it has,

CM2X1024-8500C5D , XMS2-8500 1024MB 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 XMS8505V1.2 07090022-8.

I am thinking it has been packed wrong ???

So is this the correct ram for my motherboard ???

Please help

Sam

Twin2x2048-8500C5D is made with 2 CM2X1024-8500C5D modules so what you have is correct, and I would try and reset the BIOS one module at a time and see if you can get it to post. If it does not post with either module that would suggest some other problem and I would test the modules and CPU in another MB if you can.

That MB only supports DDR2 533/667/800 and our modules would need to be set to 2.2 Volts, I would use the other memory to update the BIOS and then load setup defaults and then set the memory voltage to 2.1 Volts and set the timings to Cas 4-4-4-12 at DDR2-800 and then exit saving changes and then install the 8500 Modules and see if it will post and pass http://www.memtest.org.
